2023 Fantasy Football: Half-PPR Mock Draft, 1.0.2

The Yahoo Fantasy Football crew took part in one round, half mock PPR, first time in 2023.

Check out the illusion results below.

It’s time spent in the sun that ranks first overall. Jefferson is an elite talent who plays on offense that moves him around to put him in advantageous positions. He could get a 20 TD season at some point. Matt Harmon

(How to play fantasy football for the 2023 NFL season)

I kicked myself a bit after this for not going to Chase. However, we fully believe that McCaffrey has a unique roof and floor combination and is the difference maker in the RB spot. – Harmon

Break the next third year? Chase went over 1,000 yards with nine TDs in just 12 games last season. He’s a target hog on an explosive offense, and all signs point to him having a career year. – Dan Titus

An ankle injury in Week 4 derailed a promising third season for Taylor, but the former rushing champion comes into ’23-24 at full health with a new coach who is constantly running the ball. I’m here for JT’s Restoration Campaign, and I feel so good about him taking charge Austin, thank you – Of course, it’s all wishful thinking that Taylor will join the team amid a contract dispute and commercial ordering. – Titus

He can be treated as a passing player and belongs in the first round regardless of what happens to his goal-line balance. Scott Pianofsky

Getting too close is a dangerous distance, but Brian DaPaul (and even Daniel Jones) get this offense going in the right direction, and Barkley looked like a bell cow last year. – Pianovsky

Kupp averaged by far the most PPR points per game last season when he was on the field and should get all the goals on a depleted Rams offense. We just need Kupp’s recent hamstring disease to be slight, and Matthew Stafford to return in good health. – Dalton Dale Donne

The electric starter is set to triple work on a heavy offense with a loaded offensive streak. Robinson has a case for being instantly ranked as the best RB in fantasy (Atlanta’s schedule looks pretty decent, too). – without

If you’re looking for signs of decline with Kelce, you won’t find them on his 2022 game record. He just set career highs in receptions (110) and receiving touchdowns (12), and then gave us a stellar performance in the postseason. No other player provides such a positional advantage as Kelce. Andy Byrnes

Hill somehow produced career-highs in catches (119) and receiving yards (1,710) in his first season without him Patrick Mahomes. He’s silly—as cartoonishly quick, explosive as any receiver in NFL history. – Burns

I’m all in generousChase-less Chubb in 2023. Football’s best pure runner has to be even better in the off-season side by side Deshaun Watson. – Mo Castillo

Consistent greatness. I’m not sure a huge roof has Diggs like those of some of his younger counterparts (although fourth in yards/goals and second in touchdowns in position is a pretty good cap), but few players have safer floors than he does, and I feel Comfortable taking him here before the turn. I also take a cue from Diggs and Josh Allen I entered this season hungry and motivated after the 2022 method. – Castillo
