American Lucas Glover got the card in the second round, sixth-under-par 64, to lead St. Jude’s Championship in the first leg of the FedEx Cup Qualifiers.
Glover, who qualified for the playoffs with Winning the Windham Championship last week At Sedgefield Country Club, he finished 10th overall.
Overnight leader Jordan Spieth is trailing his compatriot in second place.
England’s Tommy Fleetwood is one of five players tied for third with eight under-par players at TPC Southwind in Memphis.
Fleetwood is joined by American Taylor Moore, Argentine Emiliano Grillo, and South Korean husband Song Jae Im and Tom Kim.
Rory McIlroy scored 66 to finish in an under-par seventh, better than his opening round 67, with England’s Aaron Ray shot just behind the Northern Irishman.
Players ranked in the top 50 at the end of this tournament advance to next week’s BMW Championship.
