The McRib has finally made a triumphant return to McDonald’s menu, but not for long — the Oct. 31 return marked the beginning of McRib’s farewell tour, which means this may be the last time you get to take a bite. No tour is complete without a few keepsakes, however, and McRib’s latest work is as hot as a morsel of barbecue. But will McDonald’s restock the McRib merchandise after it’s sold out? Just like the sandwich that inspired the saucy T-shirts, sweatshirts, and accessories—once it’s gone, it can be gone forever.
The McRib’s last minute may have left a bittersweet (and barbecue) taste in fans’ mouths, but like all good farewell rounds, the sandwich won’t go away without a fanfare. The vintage-inspired merchandise, which launched at McDonald’s Unlimited Golden Arches website On November 4, it’s bringing it back again with classic McRib designs from throughout the years that look like they came straight from 1980, aka the year the sandwich debuted, via a time machine. If you were hoping to cut through all the pieces of the group, you may not have had enough luck. When it comes to restocking, it’s going to be a ‘no’ from McDonald’s. “Currently, we don’t have any plans to restock the site when it sells out – so get yours before they’re gone!” A McDonald’s spokesperson shared with Elite Daily in an email.
